Congressman Joseph Heck, (R.) Nevada
On November 2, 2010, Joe Heck was elected to the United States Congress as Nevada’s Representative for the Third Congressional District. Heck is only the third person to hold this seat since its creation. He serves on the Education and Workforce Committee, and the Armed Services Committee. He is also the only freshman appointed to serve on the House Permanent Committee on Intelligence.

Portia serves on the White House Domestic Policy Council (DPC) and will share insight into the Council's work for President Obama. Established by Richard Nixon, the DPC coordinates the domestic policy-making process in the White House, advises the President, supervises the execution of domestic policy and represents the President's priorities to Congress.

Employment and Training Administration
Jane Oates was nominated by President Barack Obama to join Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis' leadership team at the Department of Labor in April, 2009. Confirmed as Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training on June 19, 2009, she now leads the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) in its mission to design and deliver high-quality training and employment programs for our nation's workers.
