The NAWB Board of Directors mirrors the diversity of individuals who promote our private-public partnerships at the local and state levels. We seek individuals who have demonstrated leadership in promoting Workforce Development Boards and effective workforce development policy and programs at the state and local levels.
Our Recruitment Committee considers the following bylaw requirements in nominating candidates:
- A majority of the Elected Board of Directors shall be private business representatives from Local or State Workforce Investment Boards;
- No more than three (3) persons from any one state or territory may serve among the elected seats; and
- An Executive Director cannot apply to the Board of Directors if a member of their WIB already sits on the NAWB Board of Directors.
