Want to dedicate your talents to our cause? NAWB is committed to creating and maintaining a Board that mirrors the diversity of individuals who promote our private-public partnerships at the local and state levels. We look for individuals who have demonstrated leadership in promoting both Workforce Investment Boards and effective workforce development policy and programs at the state and local levels.
There are several Bylaw requirements that our Recruitment Committee must take into account in nominating candidates including:
- A majority of the Elected Board of Directors shall be private business representatives from Local or State Workforce Investment Boards;
- No more than three (3) persons from any one state or territory may serve among the elected seats; and
- An Executive Director cannot apply to the Board of Directors if a member of their WIB already sits on the NAWB Board of Directors.
