W.O. Lawton Business Leadership Award Nominations
What is the W.O. Lawton Business Leadership Award?
In March of 2007, long-standing member of the NAWB Board of Directors and the Hampton Roads workforce investment board (WIB) W.O. Lawton died unexpectedly. Dr. Lawton worked constantly to focus his WIB and NAWB on developing the skilled workers required by employers and programs that offered residents the opportunity for self-sufficiency and career growth. NAWB named its Business Leadership Award after Dr. Lawton to honor his commitment to improving the local and national workforce delivery system.
