WIB Members in Action: Making an Impact on the Community
Workforce Investment Board members are charged with creating strategic workforce solutions for the community. This goal is made more challenging by the complexity of the public workforce system and the need to build partnerships among many different entities. Available online or on-site, the course will prepare board members to move their board to the next level. The course, developed in partnership with Dynamic Works Institute, explains the basics of WIA, but is focused on getting members to think strategically about the board’s role in their community and what they can do as individuals to exercise their strategic governance and leadership roles. Online: $2,000 for annual subscription that allows unlimited access to all board members, plus periodic webinars. On-site: Half day $4,000 (one instructor).
