Two-Generation Workforce Development and Early Care and Education (WD/ECE) Project
Advancing new pathways to employment for parents and families with young children
NAWB and Innovate+Educate have joined forces to advance two-generation approaches to workforce development with the support of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. The $1,500,000 grant advances new pathways to employment for parents and families with young children (0-8 years) while providing linkages between early childhood development and employment, leading to economic advancement.
The project supports a pilot with three nationally recognized workforce boards to develop strategies and provide implementation support focused on high-quality, adult focused services combined with intensive, high-quality early childhood education programs.
In addition, this program supports the development of technology tools to connect these families to resources that elevate the services, resources and educational opportunities available to them through the combined strategy of workforce development/childhood education.
