NAWB is committed to advancing the public workforce system and improving economic mobility in communities and states across the nation. Through capacity building, technical assistance and facilitated peer-learning initiatives, NAWB helps workforce development boards deepen and align strategies for systemic change position communities for economic success.

Family-Centered Employment
NAWB’s Family-Centered Employment initiative focuses on integrating workforce development with comprehensive support for families. It emphasizes a holistic approach to employment, addressing not only jobseekers’ needs but also the well-being of their entire family. This approach seeks to enhance career success and economic mobility by building stronger, more resilient family units.

SNAP E&T Community of Practice
Through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) National Partnership Grant awarded by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), and in partnership with Seattle Jobs Initiative (SJI) and Third Sector Capital Partners, NAWB provides multi-faceted technical assistance for workforce development boards interested in becoming third-party SNAP E&T providers or intermediaries.
